Facebook advertising has become one of the most powerful marketing tools available. Just shy of 2 billion people log onto Facebook at least once a month. Create a Facebook Page

A Facebook Page differs from a Profile. Profiles are meant for individuals to share personal information about their lives and interests. A Facebook Page is for those interested in promoting a brand or business for profit. Read the step-by-step process of creating a Page for your business.

Log into your existing Facebook Profile and look in the upper right-hand corner for the arrow beside the question mark. Once you have clicked the arrow, select “Create Page”. A screen will appear where you are then able to choose the type of page you want to create: Business Page, Entertainment Page, Brand/Product Page, etc. Once the page has been created, you will be able to take the Facebook Tutorial through all your options.

Go to https://www.facebook.com/ads/manager to create your own account. From this account, you will be able to research your Target Audience through the Audience Insights tab. Once you have studied your target audience, you are ready to create an advertisement.

Creating an advertisement on Facebook Ads Manager begins with choosing your objective. Facebook offers options for 1) awareness, 2) consideration, and 3) Conversion. Each of these objectives are then further broken down into the specific needs for the ad. Once the objective is selected, be sure to name your Ad Campaign with something indicating the purpose of the advertisement.

Next, you can create a new audience that you have studied using Audience Insights or used a saved audience from a previous campaign. Specify the placement of what locations you want your ads to run on by changing “automatic placements” to “edit placements”. The budget is set for the lifetime of the campaign or can be altered to a daily budget for a set amount of days. Ads can be paused at any time! Facebook will tell you how many people you are able to reach depending on your budget preferences.

The last step in the process is the creation of the actual advertisement. Facebook provides different formats for the picture(s) or video(s). Enter the text you want, and be sure to insert the URL that you want your viewers to click. And, that is it! Happy Advertising!
